Oxford Street in London is the busiest road in Europe, with 300 shops and millions of tourists, visitors and Londoners using the street every year. So much is packed into this 1.5 miles of street that it is hard to imagine how it copes on a day to day basis.
All these people, the rubbish and so on that accumulates when people congregate in one area, along with the Tube station can make it a hotbed for pests.
Pests are insects, birds and animals that are unwanted in an area. Anything from rats in the Underground, to urban foxes rummaging through the bins at night, to the pigeons that fly overhead, there are all kinds of pests.
Some pests will never be completely eradicated and neither should some be – the humble bee, for example, despite its size, plays a huge part in the local ecology. Other pests although they cannot be eradicated, must be controlled for the health and safety of the general public.
I am Michael Coates and I am part of Combat Pest Control, working in collaboration with West London Pest Control. As a professional pest controller living and working in the Oxford Street and W1C area, I can respond quickly to call for help with any kind of pest.
However, I also appreciate that many customers, both businesses and domestic, need not only an immediate response but a discreet one too.
Not only do I not announce my arrival on the street, I also go about the assessment of the problem, along with any treatment or solutions in a way that does not attract attention, nor present any offence or issues to the general public, employees and so on.
